PATRICK KEVIN KOHN

Summary of Professional Experience:

Patrick Kohn has been a semi-professional lyric tenor for over 20 years. He has performed as a featured soloist and in professional choirs, including The Detroit Oratorio Society, with Mark Kazmarcyk and the distinguished Grosse Pointe Christ Church Choir of Men and Boys with Frederick DeHaven. He has performed either vocally or instrumentally at over 200 weddings.

During the late 1980's and early 1990's, Patrick was the lead singer and manager of Heartsfield, a top 40 wedding band. He performed all lead singing, song selection and arrangement and worked with two well-known talent agencies, Gail & Rice and Lorio Ross, to coordinate engagements.

Summary of Professional Training Experience:

Patrick is currently studying classical/liturgical guitar under the direction of Steven Petrunak, Music Director at St. Blase Church in Sterling Heights, Michigan. Steve is widely regarded as one of the finest liturgical guitarists in the United States. He writes, publishes and records his music and performs concerts nationally with GIA, the largest clearinghouse of religious music in the country.

Summary of Professional Teaching Experience:

In 2001and 2002, Patrick taught a series of youth guitar classes in the St. Clair Shores Community Education series. He developed a curriculum for the program and continues to receive requests for personal lessons from members of the community as well as members of St. Margaret of Scotland parish.

Personal:

Patrick resides in St. Clair Shores with Kathleen, his wife of 31 years, and is a senior financial analyst at REDICO, a real estate development and investment company in Southfield, Michigan. Patrick has Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Master of Science in Finance from Walsh College in Troy.
